Full Compass Systems helped raise more than $45,000 for the local organization Madison4Kids at a Mardi Gras event Tuesday night, February 9, 2016. Nearly 150 people were entertained by a live and silent auction, dinner, dancing, games, and tarot card and palm readings inside the large studios within Full Compass Systems facility in Madison.
Full Compass Owner and Chairman of the Board, Susan Lipp, is on the Board of Directors for the Madison4Kids organization, a local effort run without any paid staff members. Every dollar given to Madison4Kids goes straight to programs for local children. Contributions to the organization can help kids fund a special project, learn a new skill, purchase sports equipment to stay active, attend a camp, and much more.
Like the organization itself, the Mardi Gras event was put on by volunteers and made possible by donations. Executive Director of Madison4Kids, Judy Miyagawa, and President of Madison4Kids, Patrick Donovan, both spoke at the event Tuesday night, thanking the crowd for supporting a cause that does so much good in the community.
Doctor Chris Kammer and WISC-TV3 Anchor Susan Siman emceed the party and the live auction. “If there’s good to be done in the Madison area,” Susan Siman told the crowd. “You can bet Susan and Jonathan Lipp are involved.”
“This is one of 15 boards that I sit on in Madison,” Susan Lipp stated while on the event stage, accompanied by her husband, Jonathan Lipp. “But it’s on the top of my list personally because the whole organization is run by volunteers, which means all the funds raised can go to the kids. The board members do incredible work on their own time.”
Guests enjoyed New Orleans-inspired cuisine donated by local establishments Bistro 101, The Club Tavern, Backstage Bistro, Liliana’s, Maurie’s Chocolates, Rookies and Whole Foods Markets. Other sponsors included American Printing, Oak Bank, and Goldstein and Associates.
